Skiing
in Vancouver's back yard is both convenient and affordable
North Shore skiing mountains areas are easily accessible from downtown
Vancouver.

Vancouver
offers some of the worlds finest in skiing. Vancouver's three different
local skiing areas - Cypress, Seymour and Grouse Mountains are excellent
skiing hills just minutes form Vancouver - they operate on the north shore
peaks, providing downhill and cross-country skiers, snowshoers, and snowboarders
with a winter playground. All three mountains offer a range of summer
activities for the outdoor enthusiast as well as for the casual visitor.

When
skiing on the North Shore of Vancouver, on clear winter day with blue
skies it feels as if you're looking out over the whole of southern British
Columbia: Burrard Inlet, the Strait of Georgia, the lower Fraser River
valley and the signature landmarks of western Canada's biggest, hippest
city, the Lions Gate Bridge and Stanley Park. Vancouver skiing
You're looking down on 2 million very diverse people under the tip of
your snowboard or skis a little more than a half-hour away -- make that
1,990,000, since about 10,000 are with you on these sunny North Shore
slopes. Skiing in Vancouver is amazing beautiful. On a clear night, it
feels like you're skiing right into the city

Beginner
skiers can learn basic skiing fundamentals through our Jumps and Bumps
Development Program. Accomplished skiers can learn how to rip up the mountain
in the moguls, halfpipe and terrain park for their own personal confidence
or focus on their competitive goal of standing at the top of Cypress,
representing Canada at the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics. Freestyle skiing
is all about becoming a strong, competent skier and jumping safely. If
you want to ski with confidence, jump and land that trick, learn from
our Certified Freestyle Coaches. Vancouver Skiing
